On Thursday, July 14, 2022, the network meeting of the Berlin State Guarantee Fund took place as part of the neustart22 project. In addition to representatives of the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises and the Investitionsbank Berlin, 30 founders and those interested in starting a business from the neustart22 project met in the premises of the BürgschaftsBank Berlin (BBB).
Evelyn Salat, consultant for medium-sized companies and start-ups at the BBB, reported on the process. Entrepreneurs and those interested in starting a business with refugee experience should now go to their normal house bank for a loan with the usual documents. The house bank then requests a guarantee from the Bürgschaftsbank Berlin and reports a notice to the house bank to take over the guarantee.
In order to promote the use of the guarantee fund, the BürgschaftsBank Berlin is planning a meeting with the city's banks and savings banks. The aim is to make the program known among Berlin's main banks in order to make it easier for applicants to apply. Following this meeting, there will be another network meeting with the neustart22 project.
